Hello there rock n' roll singers! We are Bad Wine, a good ol' fashioned rock n' roll band in Parkville, MO and we are looking for a frontman with a great voice and the abillity to put on a show! We consist of a lead guitarist who has been trained under great sessionists around the area, a bass/keyboard player who teaches rock n' roll, and a nationally merited percussionist. We are mainly influenced by the great bands such as The Beatles, Rush, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, CCR, The Allman Brothers, Neil Young, etc., and we also write our own tunes. If you would like to listen to some of our material, you can check us out at www.myspace.com/badwineband! We've also played many shows in the area at places such as The Mission Thatre, The Hideout Club, The Beaumont Club, etc.
We are looking preferably for a singer with similar musical interests, between the ages of 18-23, and a male. If you yourself play an instrument, that is most certainly welcome. If you are interested and would like to contact us, you can either message us at our myspace page or e-mail us at badwineband@yahoo.com Thanks for the interest and keep on rockin! • Location: Parkville

Who can Sing like Joni Mitchell?posted: November 3, 2009, 11:47 AM

I am looking to audition female singers who are interested in performing
in a Joni Mitchell tribute show. This show would be marketed to local clubs such as The Brick, Bar Natasha, The Record Bar and others. Presently I am an active solo acoustic guitarist in the KC MO area. It is possible that a duo that would gig regulary playing other material could evolve out of this. The ideal singer I am looking to work with would be able to read music, have a wide vocal range (a la Joni), and also be familer with Joni's material from her early songs to more recent material.Interested singers may contact Kevin at 816-379-8105 website at www.kevinhiattmusic.com • Location: Kcmo

Michael Jackson Tribute Concertposted: October 29, 2009, 02:47 PM

Hello,
I am Justin Elijah and i am putting together a tribute concert dedicated to the life of Michael Jackson. This concert will be a live feature of his greatest songs, some that he had not performed as well as some he did not perform often. I myself will be performing as Michael singing and dancing. What i need for this show are the following things. First and foremost serious financial support this is a great thing that i am trying to do but it can't happen without support, and i can't do it alone. Also needed are background dancers and singers, and a full band that includes guitarists(lead and bass), drummers, keyboardists, violinists, percussionists and various brass and woodwind instrumentalists to name a few. For everyone dancers/singers/instrumentalists, this is a non paying gig as of now, it's just a very big opportunity to do something big, and possibly get noticed by someone who knows. But you would be required to attend all scheduled rehearsals to learn dances and background vocals, to ensure the best possible show that Michael would be proud of. The concert will take place on the weekend of the anniversary of his death, and auditions/rehearsals will begin 4-5 months prior to the concert date. I have confidence that this concert can be something big and that alot of people would be ready to come and see it. If you are interested in being a part of this concert either by performing or participating financially or both please contact me Justin Elijah at either the email listed above or give me a call at 816 885 2910. I look forward to hearing from you, this will be a great event don't miss out be a part of it and help it to happen. p.s. this show is intended to be the professional so stage costumes will also be worn as well. • Location: Kansas City, MO

Hello Fellow Vocalists,
Blues Evolution is recording a second CD, and one of the tunes is a secular but gospel sounding song that is begging for the sound of a large choir. Well, we can’t pull that off, but we can try to simulate a choir by overdubbing a variety of voices singing each part. We would love your involvement. Our most immediate need is for HIGH SOPRANO. THE HIGHEST NOTE IS HIGH G (an octave plus a 5th above middle C that sits on the space on Top of the treble clef. It is the last note possible that is still connected to the staff before you need ledger lines.) We need someone who can hit most of the notes clustered around High E with confidence, tone and of course accuracy. Finally we want it to have some soul and sound like church. Although we have lately been focusing on locating a soprano voice, we really need voices in all ranges and with various styles. However, YOU MUST HAVE ACCESS TO a PROTOOLS compatible computerized home recording software system to participate on this recording. PLEASE GIVE A LISTEN to our Mp3 DEMO of In The Name of the Father by clicking on the link to that song at our web page at the Indaba Music site: http://www.indabamusic.com/people/579044191 I hope you will take a stab at it and join us. Unfortunately (considering the number of voices needed) THIS IS NOT A PAYING OPPORTUNITY. I so look forward to hearing from you and all the best with your musical adventure. Yes!
