20 years experience in teaching. I now teach at Funky Munky Music at 12710 Shawnee Mission Pkwy. I've taught in the past at Big Dudes, Raymore Music and most recently The Music Stand/Gallery for the past 18 years. I specialize in a good understanding of the instrument and music. I teach in a fun environment. I like to have fun in my lessons, which makes it a more enjoyable experience. I concentrate much on the technique needed to play the instrument well and as effortlessly as possible. Good technique is one of the most important aspects of playing, and isn't usually covered well by books, videos or by many instructors. Without it, it is impossible to play any advanced material. I teach an easy to understand approach to scales, modal/chordal theory, rhythm, lead, sweep arpeggios, lightning fast runs, fingerpicking, tapping, Earl Scruggs style and technique on banjo,slap and pop, and tapping on bass. Genres are: blues, rock, heavy metal, country, classical, bluegrass, contemporary christian, funk, pop and jazz. Hours are: 1-9pm M-Th, 2-7pm Fr, and 9am-5pm Sat. Please call me at (913)722-2621. Diverse, Christian Drummer Available ! I am a drummer/percussionist that has played in many different bands and styles over the last 30 years. Also a song writer, I am looking for receptive musicians who want to excel. I would like to create a new sound of our own.
Lots of influences from 1940's big band, instrumental jazz/bop, classical, 60's and 70's rock, folk and gospel. Would like to try some thing new and/or radical. I am not particularly in to the bar scene, but would like to concentrate on moving in to other areas and venues. It would be great to find some talented Christian musicians with similar interests.

We just got back from Nashville where we recorded our first album. The title is Ruins and we are itching to play, any venu(prefferably non-alchoholic) We love the God and our ministry is to let others know about his grace. Expierienced Non Smoking Female Vocalist available to audition for your band. I have had over 40 years experience in the Music Field. I have performed on stage in musicals and in performing bands, have worked as a studio singer for a live production for 10 years. I read music well and have been classicaly trained in voice and in piano/keyboards. Recently I performed in an Elvis Tribute band and have specialty knowledge of this genre. I am willing to perform in Classic Rock or Country bands, as well as R&B and Contemporary Christian. I would prefer performing in an ETA Band or Christian Band.. I am flexible and dependable.
