“After a great first year as an au pair, I decided to stay 12 more months in the USA. I love to travel and have already visited 10 states! One of the most fun trips was to Connecticut to the children’s grandmothers’ house. We played at the beach and it was so much fun. We also got to celebrate the baby’s first birthday! We made special decorations, a nice apple cake and got them finger paint to play with! “When I am not in school or spending time with my family, I work at a home for the elderly. This is a great experience for me because I was able to learn how to handle other people’s problems. At the same time, I developed my own understanding of the elderly there, and of how people are in general. I really enjoy working with people and that is why I think I would be a great au pair.”
