TranSystems Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Transportation Practice Leader in our Kansas City, MO office. For this position, we are seeking a candidate who will develop business strategies, maintain existing client relationships, and develop new clients and business focused in the civil, highway, and bridge sectors. The successful candidate will be a licensed professional engineer in Missouri with a diverse technical background.

The successful candidate will have a diverse background with extensive experience and capable to lead business development. Established relationships with transportation public agencies preferred. Clients in the Kansas City Metro Area with a focus on MoDOT Kansas City District; Kansas City, MO; Jackson County, MO; Unified Government; Overland Park, KS; Olathe, KS and other various clients. Experience managing transportation projects across a variety of delivery methods is preferred, to include design, design:build, CMGC and P3.

Basic Responsibilities

: Identifies and markets business opportunities with key clients;
: Enhances and maintains key client relationships and serve as one of the primary company contacts;
: Develops new client relationships to grow client network in the Kansas City Metro Area;
: Participate in business development opportunities, including strategy creation, proposal preparation and contract negotiations;

Basic Qualifications

: B.S. Civil Engineering required;
: Licensed MO Professional Engineer required;
: Licensed KS Professional Engineer preferred;
: 20 plus years of experience in business development, design, management and implementation of civil, highway, and bridge engineering transportation projects;
: Extensive business development and project management experience;
: Proven relationships with key Kansas City Metro agency clients that include MoDOT Kansas City District; Kansas City, MO; Jackson County, MO; Unified Government, KS; Overland Park, KS; Olathe, KS and other various clients.
: Strong communications skills with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization;
: Effective at communicating project scope, risks and requirements with clients;
