Spire is seeking an Economic Development Project Manager to work in the territories assigned by the Economic Development Director, but generally in the Missouri West geography. This position will be responsible for supporting state and local economic development agencies recruit, expand, and retain industrial and commercial business to Spire.
Duties and Responsibilities
:Develop relationships with economic development agencies assigned by the Economic Development Director, but generally in Missouri West; with economic development affiliates and resources throughout Missouri or surrounding regions that might be helpful to company priorities in economic development; and with company operations personnel that are critical to designing, installing, and maintaining facilities that serve commercial/industrial customers.
:Respond to requests related to economic development within 48 hours or the target set by the requesting party.
:Be responsible for acquiring the information necessary to perform a modeling analysis from System Planning, project estimate from Construction, and investment analysis. Information may be in be in non:traditional units and require intuitive assumptions based on experience and knowledge.
:Collaborate with LC/I Business Development and Rates within any confidentiality restraints that insure the companys interests and positions are maintained in a fair and reasonable manner.
:Represent the company with industry related organizations and chambers of commerce within the assigned territory.
:Transfer the necessary information, agreement terms, and documents to the appropriate Business Development representative for establishment of service.

Required Education: (may include certifications, licenses and registrations)
:A four:year college degree in business or engineering, or area of study equivalent in knowledge, is required
Required knowledge, skill and abilities:
:Skills in project management, communications, relationship management, geospatial mapping, economics, financial investment analysis, time/priority management, and budgeting
:Familiarity with utility distribution fundamentals including installation, operations, maintenance, and measurement
:Five years of experience in economic development, governmental affairs, or business
