Job Title:
Mapping and Logistics Assistant
Schedule: Full-Time; Monday-Friday; On-Call; 40 hours/week
Organization: Aerial Mapping
Location: Olathe, KS 66062 – Johnson County Executive Airport (KOJC)
Reports to: Mapping Program Manager or Mapping Maintenance Manager
Pay: $32,000- $35,000; Exempt

When workload requires, the staffing of the Mapping Maintenance Assistant position can occur to allow for an accountable individual to assist in ensuring that all aircraft are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements and that all maintenance related safety management goals are met. This position will assist the Program Manager in booking travel accommodations for the pilots.

The duties of the position include:
Assisting planning and controlling all aircraft maintenance;
Assist in maintaining maintenance staffing training records;
Liaising with all non-company persons or Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMOs) performing maintenance or accessory repairs on company aircraft;
Ensuring that aircraft maintenance records as required by Federal Regulations, manufacturer and company policy are established and maintained;
Ensuring that Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins that effect Flight Department aircraft are complied with appropriately;
Conferring with the MMS regarding the removal from service any aircraft that are unairworthy, or that do not comply with regulatory requirements; and
Assisting with the establishment of Air Associates of Kansas safety policies and procedures for hangar and ramp operations.
Airline scheduling;
Hotel arrangements;
Rental arrangements;
Responsible for assisting Program Manager in managing pilot business expenses;
Obtain data from pilots and report to management a number of business performance parameters;
Generate, verify and present reports and graphs for daily, weekly and monthly status of aircraft and crew production;
Interface with all levels of management, as well as pilots on a daily, weekly, and monthly status of aircraft and crew production;
Will be on call part-time and be responsible to assist in or make final decisions on where aircraft will base and perform photo missions;
Will work with and have direct communication with client and partner company;
Other Duties requested by the Mapping Program Manager or Mapping Maintenance Manager.

Has 3 years aviation maintenance experience;
Demonstrated knowledge of planning, implementation and direction of the maintenance programs and control system for the aircraft operated;
Demonstrates knowledge of regulations and standards relating to aircraft maintenance; and
Has received specific training on Air Associates of Kansas aircraft maintenance and operations procedures.
Will receive human factors training during initial and recurrent training annually
General Aviation experience preferred
Candidate must be capable of being adaptive in changing environment and creative in problem solving.
Candidate must be able to work independently with little or no supervision and identify needs with little direction
Must be people oriented and possess good interpersonal skills and demonstrate professionalism
Must be capable of multi-tasking and working with numerous variables, as well as be detail oriented
Exhibit good computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Be willing to be flexible in schedule
Associates Degree or 2 years of Aviation Experience Equivalent
