Insurance : Commercial Lines Manager Role: The CL Manager is an integral link in the business relationship that is created by our agency, our clients, and our employees. For many clients, the CL Manager is the focal point of their contacts with our agency, and frequently clients rely on the CL Manager to explain, select and place their insurance coverage. The CL Manager needs to objectively assess the underwriting practices of our companies when placing coverage. In addition to fundamental rating, underwriting and procedural skills, the CL Manager position requires excellent communication skills combined with sales abilities. The CL Manager must possess the ability to lead and train the Commercial Lines team.
:Retention of existing accounts
:Renewal of Client accounts
: Verify coverage as well as prices from the previous year
: Possible re:shopping and re:underwriting in order to retain the account
:Quoting New Business
: Completing Accord Form
: Quoting Online
: Negotiate with underwriter for best coverage for our clients
: Building Cost Estimators
:Write Commercial Lines new business
:Lead and Train the Commercial Lines Team
: Updating policies as needed
:Completion of underwriting requirements as needed
:Ensure all applications are thoroughly completed and contain the clients signature
:Process Certificates and Binders
:Respond to all underwriters requests, recommendations, restaurant questionnaires, terrorism form, etc.
:Order Loss Run reports as well as process No Loss Letters
:Cross selling commercial accounts
:Marketing of coverages to existing clients as well prospective new clients
:Assist with claims processing due to any language barriers
:Documentation on the Applied System
:Process Producers new business as long as the applications are complete
:Answer clients billing question
:Process all of the producers applications
:Follow company underwriting guidelines
:Return all business phone calls within 4 hours
:Respond to all underwriters request in email within 4 hours
:Check email frequently and respond as quickly as possible (goal is within 4 hours or less, if possible)
:Prepare Presentable Quotes, Folder, Comparison Sheet, Etc. for Presentation to the Client
:Maintain 90 or better client retention
:Process all new business within 48 hours
:Mail out client checks within 48 hours of receiving them
:Grow Commercial Lines Book of Business by 10
:Other Duties as Assigned
:High school diploma required
:P and C Licensed REQUIRED
:CISR, CIC or CPCU designation preferred
:Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
:Team Player with Good Attitude
:Strong communication skills, both oral and written
:Ability to quote both Small and Large Commercial Accounts
:Management Experience
